I have used David on a number of occasions to provide training in conflict management to both street pastors and bar staff. I have found his presentation style to be entertaining, engaging and informative. He manages to put a practical slant on all aspects of his training which his audience can relate to. To summarise I would have no hesitation in recommending or using him again. (PS 321 Richard Higgin Cumbria Constabulary). |

David,
"From the discussions I have had with different people since the session the overall feedback was extremely positive. You put across a lot of information but in a way that kept it light and entertaining - you made learning fun. People appreciated the way you shared your own experiences and it was very evident that what you were telling us was not theory but something learnt from years of practice". Thanks for all you did for us Stuart, 2010. |

Vita Lend Lease Burnley Hospital Conflict Management, Physical Intervention and Knife Defence Training The management of VLL also identified a training need for their security officers who regularly faced people with challenging behaviour towards them in a hospital environment. Tactical Training Services Ltd then conducted a training needs analysis that highlighted a need for conflict management and physical skills to be shown to their staff, and rolled out an ongoing training programme of conflict management & physical intervention training. The training consisted of how to prevent and defuse conflict, reduce risk avoidance and disengagement skills through to rescue, escorting and holding skills. Disengagement: This training examined how staff can reduce the risks of assault through non physical measures and avoid assault through their positioning and approach. The staff then learned how to disengage from the most common types of assault they could face in their role. |

Client Feedback
I
first contacted Tactical Training Services because I knew that the
MD (Dave) had such a good reputation in the area as a Front Line
Door Supervisor himself. TTS has always been adaptable to my
complete training needs and we have had several tailor-made courses
provided to us. Our full management team went on a risk assessments
training course our confidence has grown immensely and security risk
assessments is now an extra service we offer to our clients. TTS has
made training sessions for our door supervisors and security guards
a lot more enjoyable and recent training sessions have not only made
our staff more knowledgeable but also acted as a team building
session. Morale has definitely increased thanks to the extra
training TTS has provided and consequently staff turnover has
reduced. Conflict Management “David made the training very enjoyable and entertaining by his presentations, thank you. I feel that I will be able to remain calmer and more aware of situations in the future". (Emergency Planning Officer, Local Authority Lancashire) 2008. Control & Restraint As a member of the Security Department for Vita Lend Lease at Burnley General Hospital I personally found Dave Pattinson's training in Control & Restraint, CCTV , Weapon's awareness and Supervisor / Manager training very informative. Dave was very clear and precise and ensured that every person attending the course had fully understood the laws and practicality connected with each course. (Graham Cook CCTV & Security Supervisor VLL) 2009.
